Friedrich Wilhelm Lüling founds the company in Altena, the urban district of Nette, and produces pin wire.

1895
Acquisition of the factory „Rolle Auf`m Schuffuth“.

1971
Takeover of the company 'Borbet' in Altena, the urban district of Linscheid. Production is then conducted at both the sites in Nette and Linscheid.

1984
Start-up of the first fully automatic surface treatment facility at the Linscheid plant.

1995
Start-up of the batch annealing facility at the Linscheid plant.

1997
Takeover of the company 'HELLWIG-Draht GmbH' in Iserlohn, for the strategic expansion of the company.

1999
Expansion of the annealing capacities with the aid of investments in new cap annealing facilities at HELLWIG-Draht.

2005
New construction of a surface treatment facility with a wire rod logistics centre in the Iserlohn plant.

2007
Celebration of the 150th anniversary of the company on 12 July.

Completion of the new quality assurance department and staff rooms for the employees in the Iserlohn plant.

New construction of a surface treatment facility with a wire rod logistics centre in the Altena plant.

Integration and implementation of the first fully automatic strapping machine for steel and PET strapping.

Improvement of the surface defect detection using state-of-the-art rotating eddy current test systems.
