New photovoltaic system on the factory roof in Altena

We have installed a photovoltaic system with an output of 300 kWp on the roof of the plant in Altena. This system generates around 245,000 kWh of electricity per year and saves around 124,000 kg of CO₂ equivalents. This means that we cover around 7 % of our own electricity requirements at the Altena site with renewable energy.

We have already implemented various measures to improve our energy efficiency and reduce emissions in the past. The visit of the National Hydrogen Council also showed how strongly energy-intensive industrial companies like LÜLING are dependent on political framework conditions – and how urgently clarity is needed for future technologies such as hydrogen.

LÜLING project engineer Stefan Pelka: “With the new photovoltaic system, we are setting another example for sustainable industrial production and underlining our responsibility towards the environment and society.”
